How to Specify a Sliding Rail Screen

Track length, carriage weight, trigger points, panel size, touch and content hand-off explained with a checklist.

Define the track

Record the wall length, any curves, ceiling height and the positions of doors, sockets and structural fixings. Straight runs of 3–12 m are common; longer or curved layouts are built in sections.

Choose carriage and panel

Decide between a manual or motorised carriage, then the 43", 55" or 65" panel. Portrait orientation suits timeline walls; landscape suits comparison graphics.

Set the trigger points

Each point on the wall can switch the asset. List what a visitor should see at every stop, and whether the panel should pause, play video or hand off to a second linked screen.

Plan power, data and service

The rail hides a power and data channel. Provide a service gap, a locked mains feed and access to the media player for content updates.
